The State Water Resources Control Board required a Level 1 Assessment following the positive total coliform bacteria detection in the water system in May 2018. That assessment was completed, with results forwarded to the agency. One finding of the assessment included an observation of dusty conditions due to farming activity with the possibility of dust intake in the well venting system. The agency acknowledged this as a possible cause and took no exception to the remediations identified, which included vent inspection and cleaning as well as distribution system and well disinfection.
